CPJ leads gains in trading on Thursday

Also on the day, Pan Jamaica increased 8.4 per cent to close at $39.98 and Ttech gained 8.9 per cent to close at $8.00. The biggest declines on the day went to 1834 Investments, down 10.5 per cent to close at $1.88 and Margaritaville Turks, down 10.3 per cent to US$0.35.

Lasco Manufacturing and Lasco Distributors dipped nine per cent and 0.3 per cent to close at $4.54 and $6.98 after releasing lower quarterly profit last week.

The JSE Combined Index declined by 207.72 points ( 0.09 per cent) to close at 244,630.09. The JSE Index advanced by 320.34 points (0.14 per cent) to close at 230,246.68. The JSE All Jamaican Composite Index advanced by 358.25 points (0.14 per cent) to close at 252,603.20. The Junior Market Index declined by 48.96 points ( 1.59 per cent) to close at 3,027.75.

The JSE USD Equities Index declined by 0.83 points (0.35 per cent) to close at 234.50.

Market volume amounted to 7,884,467 units. Lasco Manufacturing Limited was the volume leader with 1,086,082 units (13.77 per cent) followed by Lasco Financial Services Limited with 819,651 units (10.40 per cent) and Cable & Wireless Jamaica Limited with 809,255 units (10.26 per cent).
