Cosmetologist lives to perhaps tell the tale of surviving a gun attack

A 31-year-old cosmetologist was fortunate to have survived a gun attack with relatively minimal injury in the Central Kingston police area on Friday evening.

Anieka Chambers of Allman Town, Central Kingston, was shot and injured by unknown assailants in an attack that was believed not to have been directed at her, at about 6:20 p.m.

Reports are that men travelling in a black motorcar alighted from the vehicle at the Sara Street/Water Street intersection in Allman Town, and opened gunfire at a man who was standing among a group of persons at the location.

Chambers, who was among the group of persons, was grazed by a bullet on her right hand.

She was assisted to the Kingston Public Hospital for treatment.

The Central police are investigating the incident.
