Cops step up probe into gruesome murder of teen girl in Old Harbour

The police say they have stepped up their search for a suspect who they believe is linked to the murder of a teenager whose body was found buried in a shallow grave in Old Harbour, St Catherine several days ago.

The deceased has been identified as 17-year-old Alicia Allen, otherwise called ‘Lisa’.

Reports are that last Saturday, the police were called to the Patrick Street area of the town by
residents who detected a foul smell coming from a remote area in the community.

During a search of the area, a dirt grave was found. The site was dug up and the remains of the teenager was discovered.

Sources said the remains of a dog was also found buried at the site. The police said they have since stepped up their search for a man who is considered to be a suspect in the case.

The identity of the suspect has not been disclosed by the investigators, but sources pointed to someone who was well-known to her.
