Cops seeking help to identify body found on Escarpment Road, Kingston

The Half Way Tree Police are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying the body of a man who was shot and killed on Escarpment Road, Kingston 6 on Friday, July 13. Another man was also shot and injured.

The body is of brown complexion, slim build and is about 173 centimetres (5 feet 8 inches) long. It was clad in a multi-coloured merino, black jeans and beige shoes.

Reports are that about 8:15 p.m., the men were standing along the roadway when men travelling in a motorcar approached and allegedly alighted from the vehicle and opened gunfire hitting them. The unidentified man was pronounced dead at hospital while the injured man was admitted in serious condition.

The Police are asking anyone who may be able to identify the body of the deceased or may have information that can assist the investigation to contact the Half Way Tree Criminal Investigations Branch (CIB) at 876-926-8184, Police 119 emergency number or the nearest Police Station.
