Cops seek help to identify man's body with ‘Sophia’ tattoo on chest

Detectives from the St Andrew South Criminal Investigation Branch (CIB) are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying the body of a man which was found along Wellworth Avenue, Kingston 11 on Tuesday, July 3.

The victim, who appears to be in the mid-20s, is of brown complexion, slim built and about is 170 centimetres (five feet seven inches) tall. He has tattoos across his chest with the word ‘Sophia’, and one with a cross, and was clad in a red T-shirt, black pants and a pair of black shoes.

Reports from the Hunts Bay police are that about 10:20 p.m., residents heard explosions and raised the alarm.

On arrival, the police found the man lying on the ground in a pool of blood, with multiple gunshot wounds. He was taken to hospital and was pronounced dead.
