Cops seek help to find relatives of child found wandering in Kingston

Police from the Elletson Road station in Kingston are seeking the public’s help to reunite a child, believed to be between 10 and 13 years old, with her relatives.

The child was found wandering at the Rae Town Fishing Village in the Kingston 16 area on Wednesday, June 19.

She only gave her name as ‘Candia’.

She is of dark complexion, slim build, and is about 165 centimetres (five feet five inches tall).

Reports from the Elletson Road police are that about 4:50 p.m., a resident saw the child wandering along the beach and summoned them.

The child was dressed in a pink blouse, black and white leopard print skirt, and a pair of black slippers.

Anyone with information that can assist the police in reuniting the child with her relatives is being asked to contact the Elletson Road police at 876-928-1261, the police 119 emergency number, or the nearest police station.
