The St. Catherine North Police have renewed their call for Alvin Messam, o/c 'Kevin', a 35-year-old construction worker, to turn himself in immediately.

Police said he is wanted for a murder which was committed on April 28 at White Water Meadows in St Catherine, in which the victim was virtually beheaded in a machete attack.

Police say Messam is from McGregor Lane, Spanish Town.

Police reports are that Clarence Clarke, a taxi driver from Clarendon, was chopped to death by Messam.

Reports are that Clarke went to visit his girlfriend, so far identified only as ‘Kerry-Ann’, at White Water Meadows outside Spanish Town in St Catherine.

Whilst inside the house, Messam, who is the father of Kerry-Ann’s child, visited the home around 9:00 p.m., and the two men got into a heated exchange.

The argument led to a physical fight between them, but Clarke eventually left the house.

And while walking along the roadway, Messam reportedly used a machete to chop him, partially severing his head.

Clarke was taken to the Spanish Town Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

The Spanish Town police are investigating the matter.

Anyone knowing the whereabout of Alvin Messam is being asked to contact the Spanish Town police at 984-2305, the police 119 emergency number, or the nearest police station.
