Cops monitor 'No Man's Land', Kingston after gun attack on NWC worker

Police are closely monitoring sections of Seventh Street community in Kingston following reports from residents that criminals have been carrying out a series of attacks in the area.

The most recent incident took place on Friday when a man was chased and shot and injured.

Reports are that about 5:00 p.m., the man employed to the National Water Commission was having a conversation with a female in the area when he was attacked by a group of men.

Reports are that the victim was standing along the road when two men approached him and ordered him not to move.

A third male then came out of nearby bushes known as No Man’s Land and opened gunfire hitting Mitchell as he tried to escape from the area.

The injured man was assisted to the Kingston Public Hospital where he has been admitted.
