Created : 26 April 2018
Police carried out a massive operation in Half-Way Tree and surrounding areas on Tuesday to clamp down on rogue bus and taxi operators who are said to be creating problems within the busy commercial hub.
During the initiative, heavy tints and licence plates were removed from approximately 20 vehicles, with the drivers being issued tickets for several alleged traffic breaches.
“The clampdown is part of the traffic police’s ongoing commitment to rein in those taxi and bus operators who have not been following traffic regulations, and who have been causing chaos in public spaces,” a member of the police team that conducted the operation told Loop News.
