Jailed area leader’s ‘wife’ shot dead in Hundred Lane

Reports reaching Loop News are that a woman known as 'Afia', a resident of Hundred Lane off Red Hills Road, St. Andrew, was gunned down on Tuesday evening. 

She is the common-law wife and 'baby mother' of a well-known area figure, Rohan Nelson.

Nelson was one of the men who were freed on murder charges in connection with the killing of seven persons on Hundred Lane off Red Hills Road, St. Andrew in 2001.

Nelson had been charged in 2006 with the murder of Isolyn Vaughn and her common-law husband, Milton Gray. Seven persons, including two children, were killed in the attack on the community.

Several homes were also shot up.

Nelson is reportedly being detained on a gun charge, but is expected to be released soon.
