Promoted St Ann-based club Mount Pleasant FA will be attempting to take down another big team when the 2018-2019 season of the Red Stripe Premier League (RSPL) resumes on Sunday with Match Day 2.

Mount Pleasant FA, which went on a spending spree during the off-season, got their investment in players and coah off to a brilliant start on Match Day 1 last Sunday by taking down defending champions Portmore United 2-1 at Spanish Town Prison Oval. This time around, Mount Pleasant FA will take on Waterhouse, the team that Portmore United beat in last season's final. The match will take place at Drax Hall in St Ann, beginning at 3:30 pm.

Waterhouse also started the season last week with a win as they defeated the other promoted team Dunbeholden 1-0 in the Monday night fixture.

The atmosphere at Drax Hall will be interesting as it will be the first time that coach, Donovan Duckie will face Waterhouse, which he left to take the reins at the cash-rich Mount Pleasant.

The much-travelled Duckie took charge of Waterhouse in the middle of last season with the club struggling in the bottom half of the standing and guided them to the final. However, he switched to Mount Pleasant during the break and an interesting situation should unfold on Sunday when he come face-to-face with his old club.

Four other games are scheduled for Sunday and Match Day 2 will complete with the Monday night fixture between Harbour View and Portmore United at the Harbour View Stadium.

In another interesting game on Sunday, Kingston and St Andrew clubs Cavalier and Arnett Gardens will clash at Stadium East.

Both also started the season with a win last week, with Cavalier travelling to Frome and taking all the points from hosts, Reno, with a 2-0 victory; while Arnett Gardens hosted Humble Lion at the Anthony Spaulding Sports Complex and won 2-1.

Those results have Cavalier joint leaders of the competition with identical statistics with Tivoli Gardens, which journeyed to Wespow Park in Montego Bay and won 2-0 against Montego Bay United. Arnett Gardens enter the day joint third  Mount Pleasant FA.
