Clarendon cabbie remanded for whopping ganja find on Hellshire main road

The accused, 52-year-old Patrick Phillips, was remanded when he appeared in the St Catherine Parish Court on Friday.

He is scheduled to return to court on March 17.

The allegations are that on February 9, a police team on an operation along the Hellshire main road in St Catherine, signaled Phillips to stop the vehicle he was driving along the roadway...

The trunk of the vehicle was searched and nine knitted bags with ganja weighing 445 pounds were reportedly found.

Phillips was arrested and subsequently charged with possession of ganja, dealing in ganja and transporting ganja.
