Chilitos JaMexican Food celebrated Cinco De Mayo in style on Sunday, teaming up with brewers Heineken for a Mexican celebration party at its Hope Road location.

This year, changes were implemented for the now annual event, with the organisers utilising a ticketing system to effectively control the crowd and ensure a shorter wait time for food and drinks.

According to Natalie Nash, brand officer of Chilitos, the changes were made after last year's event, which saw patrons filling the venue to capacity.

The organisers also served up delectable delights to titillate the pallets of the patrons, from the event’s new menu, consisting only of food specials, with reduced prices for some beverages.

Brand manager for premium brands at Heineken, Jodi Hylton, believes the synergy between the entities worked well.

“It was an absolutely amazing event. This is our second time that we are having the partnership with Chilitos and last year it was so successful that this year we said that we had to go bigger and better”, she said.
