Deacon Phillip Omandi joined the Catholic priesthood last Friday, with Archbishop of Kingston Reverend Kenneth Richards ordaining him during an official service at the Holy Trinity Cathedral.

Omandi is from Monsignor Gregory Ramkissoon’s Mustard Seed Communities, which is celebrating its 40th anniversary.

In the homily, Richards said that Omandi’s ordination will bring a spiritual presence that is integral to the work of Mustard Seed.

Omandi was vested by Father Gavin Augustine and Sister Collette Akinyi.
