Capleton to perform live-stream concert on Saturday

Reggae star Capleton will be performing live at an event dubbed 'Capleton and the Prophecy band Streaming Live in Concert' on Saturday, May 23.

The event starts at 6 pm. Tickets can be purchased online at for US$4.99.

"We were approached by 360 Global Entertainment about a partnership to put on this concert. We had been approached before by others who wanted to do such as an event on tracks but we had declined because the band has not been working and we are a family, and we didn't want to do any event without the Prophecy band," Claudette Kemp, Capleton's manager, told Loop News

This event represents the first time the 'Prophet' will be performing live on a streaming website.

"It's going to be a high energy event, the Prophet is coming with a lot of fire, we've rented a room with great sound equipment and acoustics, all we're asking for is a little contribution to attend this concert, and we can have a great time."

Radio broadcaster Ramona Samuels of Mello FM believes that the 'Fireman' will be doing more concerts like this in the future in an entertainment landscape drastically changed by the ravages of the COVID-19 pandemic which has necessitated social distancing and banned large gatherings.

"I believe Capleton will be doing more of these events. He loves that his fans will be able to see him streaming live in concert. He is ready for this online history-making breakthrough. We know that part proceeds of this event will be going towards charity, children will be getting help with laptops and internet access, so please support this event, it will be a monumental occasion," Samuels, who is the hostess of event, said.

"All technical details are being sorted out to ensure the best viewing and auditory experience possible, so fans can just gear up to enjoy the Prophet in all his glory, with his band, which he has performed with all over the world."

Users who have paid can click on the portal from the to see the streaming feed of the concert.
