Caribbean Airlines is the official airline for the 2018 Carnival celebrations in Jamaica.
The Jamaica Tourist Board made the announcement via a release.
As the official airline, CAL will have exclusive marketing and branding rights to the JTB's campaign to promote Carnival during March and April.
According to the release the programme includes hosting several global travel influencers to experience the annual high energy festival, which features everything from breakfast fetes and beach parties to sold-out concerts headlined by Jamaican and international dancehall and soca stars.
“The Jamaica Tourist Board is delighted to have Caribbean Airlines as our partner for Carnival in Jamaica. What started off as a flashpoint for a few carnival aficionados and in a very short time has grown to ignite the imagination of people from the Caribbean and around the world, ” said Donovan White, Director of Tourism. “
"Jamaica has claimed its place as an authentic carnival destination, and we are happy that Caribbean Airlines will join us in sharing this one of a kind experience with a growing audience of adventure seekers.”
The season will culminate on April 8 with a street parade in Kingston and Ocho Rios.
