CAC 2000 Limited (CAC) led gains during Thursday's trading of the Jamaica Stock Exchange (JSE).
CAC gained 33.33 per cent to close at $12.00, followed by Sagicor Group Jamaica Limited (SJ), up 13.27 per cent to close at $44.38. The days largest declining stock was Mayberry Investments Limited (MIL), down 8.54 per cent to close at $7.50.
The JSE Combined Index advanced by 6,039.95 points (1.57 per cent) to close at 390,100.52. The JSE Index advanced by 6,301.17 points (1.65 per cent) to close at 389,076.82. The Junior Market Index advanced by 22.78 points (0.77 per cent) to close at 2,976.02. The JSE USD Equities Index advanced by 0.87 points (0.49 per cent) to close at 179.26.
Overall Market activity resulted from trading in 52 stocks of which 26 advanced, 19 declined and 7 traded firm. Market volume amounted to 4,536,279 units valued at over $56,233,263.17. Sagicor Real Estate X fund Limited was the volume leader with 999,193 units (22.03 per cent) followed by 1834 Investments Limited with 623,879 units (13.75 per cent) and Radio Jamaica Limited with 570,068 units (12.57 per cent).
