CAC 2000, General Accident, Pulse led gains during Tuesday’s trading
CAC 2000, General Accident Insurance (Genac) and Pulse led double-digit gains during Tuesday’s trading of the Jamaica Stock Exchange (JSE).
The stock gained 22 per cent to close at $11. It was followed by Genac up 11 per cent to close at $4.37 and Pulse up 10 per cent on the day to close at $2.80.
The day’s top declining stocks went to Everything Fresh down 11 per cent and Ciboney down 8.0 per cent.
The JSE Combined Index declined by 355.94 points (0.10 per cent) to close at 359,976.08.
The JSE Index declined by 631.67 points (0.18 per cent) to close at 350,910.02. The JSE All Jamaican Composite Index declined by 693.30 points (0.18 per cent) to close at 385,144.30.
The Junior Market Index advanced by 20.24 points (0.59 per cent) to close at 3,422.72. The JSE USD Equities Index advanced by 0.04 points (0.02 per cent) to close at 169.56.
Overall Market activity resulted from trading in 58 stocks of which 28 advanced, 24 declined and 6 traded firm.
Market volume amounted to 7,346,897 units valued at over $77.2 million. JMMB Group 7.50 per cent preference shares as the volume leader with 1,500,000 units (20.42 per cent) followed by Lasco Financial with 618,240 units (8.4 per cent) and Indies Pharma Jamaica with 537,134 units (7.31 per cent).
