C2W Music leads market of 19 winners
Loss making music publisher C2W Music led gains on the Jamaica Stock Exchange (JSE) in Tuesday's trading session.
In a day filled with more winners than losers, C2W led the pack, up 32 per cent to close at $0.33 with 15,000 units trading hands. RJR followed, up 9.76 per cent to close at $1.80 from 37,000 units.
Main Event Entertainment gained 9.56 per cent to $5.73 with 10,000 units. Seprod gained 9.46 per cent to close at $39.45 to 2,000 units. Grace Kennedy gained 8.53 per cent to close at $44.55 with 4,030 units trading hands.
Top declining stocks included KLE Group, down 14.8 per cent to $2.70 with 3,000 units trading hands. The JSE Combined Index advanced by 509.61 points (0.21 per cent) to close at 240,434.31. The JSE Index advanced by 700.81 points (0.31 per cent) to close at 225,655.45. The JSE All Jamaican Composite Index advanced by 769.18 points ( 0.31 per cent) to close at 247,670.02. The Junior Market Index declined by 13.17 points (0.43 per cent) to close at 3,034.23. The JSE USD Equities Index advanced by 3.76 points (1.72 per cent) to close at 222.44.
Overall Market activity resulted from trading in 41 stocks of which 19 advanced, 18 declined and four traded firm.
Market volume amounted to 3,611,451 units valued at over $33.5 million. Lasco Manufacturing Limited was the volume leader with 1,264,833 units (35.02 per cent) followed by Cable & Wireless Jamaica Limited with 846,412 units (23.44 per cent ) and JMMB Group Limited with 300,125 units (8.31per cent).
