C-TOC strikes again! $5m in illegal cigarettes seized in Clarendon

The police are reporting that they have placed another major dent on criminals involved in the trading of illegal cigarettes.

Detectives from the Counter-Terrorism and Organised Crime Branch (C-TOC) said approximately $5 million worth of the illegal products were seized during an operation in Clarendon on Thursday.

A man and a woman were apprehended during the clampdown.

The police reported that about 2:30 p.m., officers from C-TOC went to an establishment in York Town in the parish, and during a search of a premises, the illegal cigarettes were found and seized.

Further investigations are being carried out into the find.
