Busy C’Spring Road/West Kings House Road intersection now closed
Approaching the weekend, the National Works Agency (NWA) advised that it would be closing the Constant Spring Road /West Kings House Road intersection in St Andrew from 10:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 6, until 1:00 a.m. on Monday, April 8.
The closure is to allow the National Water Commission (NWC) to lower its transmission pipes so as to facilitate continued drainage improvement works at the location.
The NWA’s Communication and Customer Services Manager, Stephen Shaw, explained that the NWC pipeline which lie across the West Kings House Road entrance, has to be relocated to a greater depth to create space for the placement of storm water culverts along the area at a later date.
Due to the restrictions, motorists are being asked to use alternative routes until the intersection is reopened on Monday morning.
The works planned for the West Kings House Road intersection on the weekend is the only outstanding activity under the drainage improvement component of the Constant Spring Road project.
The laying of water pipelines and pavement works continue at other sections of the project.
