Burger Paints, Pulse Investments lead gain during Tuesday’s trading
Pulse Investments and Berger Paints led gains on Tuesday's trading session of the Jamaica Stock Exchange (JSE).
Pulse for the second day in a row led the market up 12.4 per cent to close at $3.80. It was followed by Berger up 11.4 per cent to close at $16.72. The top declining stock went to Cargo Handlers down 8.8 per cent to $14.50.
The JSE Combined Index declined by 487.51 points (0.19 per cent) to close at 251,897.30. The JSE Index declined by 305.65 points (0.13 per cent) to close at 236,442.21. The JSE All Jamaican Composite Index declined by 335.47 points (0.13 per cent) to close at 259,509.13. The Junior Market Index declined by 19.51 points
(0.61 per cent) to close at 3,176.44. The JSE USD Equities Index declined by 5.99 points (3.32 per cent) to close at 174.47.
Overall Market activity resulted from trading in 43 stocks of which 19 advanced, 18 declined and 6 traded firm.
Market volume amounted to 4,133,548 units valued at over $81,508,787.00. Proven Investments Limited JMD was the volume leader with 2,200,900 units (53.24 per cent) followed by Proven Investments Limited USD with 2,068,184 units (50.03 per cent) and Jetcon Corporation Limited with 713,635 units (17.26 per cent).
