The 2018/2019 Budget Debate which will be opened on Thursday by Finance and Public Service Minister Audley Shaw, will continue on March 13 when Opposition Spokesman on Finance, Mark Golding will make his maiden budget presentation.
It will continue on March 15 when Opposition Leader Dr Peter Phillips will make his contribution.
Prime Minister Andrew Holness will make his contribution to the budget debate on March 20 with Shaw closing the debate the following day.
The budget debate provides the Government with the opportunity to outline the activities that will be undertaken during the new fiscal year, take stock of its performance over the previous fiscal year, measure its progress in relation to the targets previously set, and assess the effectiveness of its management of the country’s finances.
