Sagicor Group Jamaica implemented key changes at some of its locations in Kingston to mark Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

The financial conglomerate switched out its signature blue and green logo to a sharp pink and white at its head office, on the R. Danny Williams building, as well as at Sagicor Life’s Kingston Business Centre and the Sagicor Bank Dominica Drive branch, all in New Kingston.

The move is in solidarity with persons who have faced the battle with breast cancer.

Additionally, the group changed out the branding on its elevator doors at the locations, to include the message ‘Don’t wait! Make an appointment to get your breasts checked’.

Through its charitable arm, Sagicor Foundation, the company also donated $1 million to the Jamaica Cancer Society towards the hosting of its annual fundraising event ‘Keeping Abreast Luncheon’.

The luncheon will be held on October 24 at the Jamaica Pegasus Hotel.

Alysia White, Group Head of Marketing at Sagicor Group and Executive Director of the Sagicor Foundation, noted that the company carries out activations each year to raise awareness about breast cancer as a means of celebrating the survivors, acknowledging those who have lost the fight to the disease, while standing in solidarity with those still in the battle.

“As a company that has health and wellness at its core, we believe in the cause and in the value of providing not just encouragement, but also valuable information that will help our employees and our clients to make the right choice, to understand the importance of getting checked and ultimately save lives,” she said.

Shullian Brown, Public Relations Officer at the Jamaica Cancer Society hailed the company for its continued efforts in raising awareness about breast cancer over the years.

“Sagicor has always been consistent in their support of the Jamaica Cancer Society and the activities we do, especially in breast cancer awareness month, of which we are very grateful,” she said, adding “It is also very meaningful to see how they have taken on the cause, by changing out their logos and the design on the elevator doors, and they always put on a project that is unique, beautiful, impactful and adds so much value to the fight,” she said.
