Body found in container at export packing complex in St Catherine

The Old Harbour police in St Catherine are investigating the circumstances surrounding the death of a man whose body was found on Friday in an empty container at an industrial complex in the parish where packing is done for exporting.

The deceased, who remains unidentified, is believed to be about 52 years’ old, is of dark complexion, medium built, and was clad in black pants and socks.

Reports are that about 1:30 p.m., the container, which was delivered to the facility on Wednesday, November 7, was about to be loaded with produce when the body was discovered inside of it.

The police were summoned and the scene processed.
