Blue Power, Wisynco at all-time highs

Blue Power and Wisynco Group are trading at all-time highs with investors rallying the prices higher by double-digit amounts on Tuesday.

Blue Power grew 25 per cent to $10 and Wisynco grew 15.5 per cent to $24.50.

Fontana is also at an all-time high of $7.99, up by 4.0 per cent. But its rise is being met with resistance, with sellers adjusting the prices for buyers below the $8.00 barrier for the moment.

On the other hand, Derrimon Trading was the big loser, down 12 per cent to $2.21 due to a block trade of 4.9 million units.

The JSE Combined Index advanced by 5,292.36 points (1.08 per cent) to close at 495,737.02 and the JSE Index advanced by 5,298.45 points (1.07 per cent) to close at 501,452.57.

The JSE All Jamaican Composite Index advanced by 5,830.56 points (1.07 per cent) to close at 550,724.04 and the JSE Select Index advanced by 172.12 points (1.34 per cent) to close at 12,980.59. The JSE Cross Listed Index closed at 100.08

At the same time, the Junior Market Index advanced by 38.69 points (1.23 per cent) to close at 3,189.88, and the JSE USD Equities Index declined by 3.71 points (1.95 per cent) to close at 186.33.

The JSE Financial Index advanced by 0.21 points (0.16 per cent) to close at 133.94.

The overall market activity resulted from trading in 70 stocks of which 37 advanced, 21 declined and 12 traded firm.

Market volume amounted to 44,399,047 units valued at over $161,032,677.84. Wigton Windfarm was the volume leader with 33,896,461 units (76.35per cent), followed by Derrimon Trading with 4,953,267 units (11.16 per cent) and Radio Jamaica with 983,084 units (2.21per cent) .
