Blue Power Group led double-digit gains on Wednesday’s trading of the Jamaica Stock Exchange (JSE).
Blue Power gained 10.6 per cent to close at $5.00. It was followed by Kingston Properties up 10 per cent to close at $6.60. The day’s biggest loser went to Dolphin Cove down 12.4 per cent to $11.71.
The JSE Combined Index declined by 181.16 points (0.05 per cent) to close at 389,765.75. The JSE Index advanced by 71.38 points (0.02 per cent) to close at 387,588.58. The Junior Market Index declined by 22.39 points (0.72 per cent) to close at 3,070.08. The JSE USD Equities Index advanced by 0.11 points (0.06 per cent) to close at 175.77. The JSE Financial Index advanced by 0.43 points ( 0.43 per cent) to close at 99.40.
Overall Market activity resulted from trading in 64 stocks of which 24 advanced, 31 declined and 9 traded firm.
Market volume amounted to 32,508,705 units valued at over $394,145,618.35. Wisynco Group was the volume leader with 3,742,597 units (11.51per cent) followed by JMMB Group 7.50per cent with 3,619,353 units (11.13 per cent) and Stationery and Office Supplies with 3,011,550 units (9.26 per cent) .
