Bike rider perishes after crashing into utility pole in St Elizabeth

Fifty-five-year-old Samuel Thomas, otherwise called ‘Sydney’, a welder of Comma Pen district in St Elizabeth, died as a result of injuries he sustained in a motor vehicle collision on the Comma Pen main road in the parish on Friday, September 13.
Reports from the Junction police are that about 5.30 pm, Thomas was driving his motorcycle along the roadway in an easterly direction when he reportedly lost control of the vehicle, which crashed into a utility pole.
He was taken to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
Police investigations continue into the incident.
