Beware of flooded roadways in Corporate Area

Police are advising motorists to proceed with caution when traversing some Corporate Area roadways that have been left flooded by heavy rainfall on Wednesday.

Hagley Park Road, sections of Constant Spring Road, Bayfarm Road and Waltham Park Road were identified, in a release by the corporate communications arm of the Jamaica Constabulary Force, as being currently flooded.

The police said motorists, if possible, should explore the use of alternative routes.

Persons with small vehicles, especially, are advised to not enter flooded roadways, the law enforcement officers said.

The flooded roadways will likely further compound traffic problems in the Corporate Area, where there have been hours-long gridlock since the closure of the major intersection at Three Miles earlier this week.
