Barita, Kremi and Ironrock led gains during Monday’s trading
Barita Investments, Caribbean Cream (Kremi) and Ironrock led double digit gains during Monday’s trading of the Jamaica Stock Exchange (JSE).
Barita gained 21 per cent to close at $15.02 with 3,000 units trading hands. It was followed by Kremi up 14 per cent to close at $7.72. Meanwhile, Ironrock gained 11 per cent to close at $3.90 with 81,500 units.
The main losers of the day went to Main Event Entertainment Group down 13 per cent to close at $5.02 and Pulse down 9.0 per cent to close at $2.55.
The JSE Combined Index advanced by 88.00 points (0.02 per cent) to close at 360,332.02.
The JSE Index advanced by 30.94 points (0.01 per cent) to close at 351,541.69. The JSE All Jamaican Composite Index advanced by 33.96 points (0.01 per cent) to close at 385,837.60. The Junior Market Index advanced by 5.39 points (0.16 per cent) to close at 3,402.48. The JSE USD Equities Index advanced by 1.74 points (1.04 per cent) to close at 169.52.
Overall Market activity resulted from trading in 62 stocks of which 27 advanced, 25 declined and 10 traded firm. Market volume amounted to 13,447,991 units valued at over $122.2 million. Wisynco Group was the volume leader with 4,737,868 units (35.23per cent) followed by 138 Student Living with 3,333,333 units (24.79per cent) and Indies harma Jamaica with 1,098,497 units (8.17per cent) .
