Attorney Anthony Pearson arrested and charged with fraud

Attorney Anthony Pearson has been arrested and charged by detectives from the Counter-Terrorism and Organised Crime Investigation Branch (C-TOC) following allegations that he defrauded one of his clients of more than $3 million.
Assistant Commissioner of Police, Fitz Bailey, head of C-TOC, told Loop News that Pearson allegedly sold a property on behalf of his client for $6.5 million and reportedly turned over a half of the money to the client, but failed to hand over the balance.
Following a report by the client, the 64-year-old attorney was arrested and charged with fraudulent conversion, and is scheduled to appear in court on February 28.
He was granted bail in the sum of $400,000.
