Arnett Gardens move into RSPL top 5 after beating Harbour View 3-0

Arnett Gardens moved into the top five of the Red Stripe Premier League (RSPL) after beating Harbour View 3-0 in the Monday night fixture at the Harbour View Mini Stadium.

The game was the final fixture of Match Day 11.

After a goalless first half, the "Junglists" opened the scoring in the 53rd-minute through Paul Wilson and added other goals courtesy of Kemal Malcolm (63rd minute) and Steve Clarke (90+2 minute) for a comfortable victory.

Arnett Gardens, which entered the day in seventh place on 13 points, joined Harbour View on 16 points. However, Arnett Gardens replaced Harbour View in fifth place courtesy of goal difference, while the Stars of the East dropped to sixth.

Waterhouse (24 points) and the promoted Molynes United (20 points) remain the top two teams after drawing their matches on Sunday.

Waterhouse were held to a 1-1 draw by defending champions Portmore United at Spanish Town Prison Oval, while Molynes United and Tivoli Gardens battled to an identical result at the Edward Seaga Sports Complex.

Mount Pleasant Football Academy, courtesy of a 12th-minute strike from Cardel Benbow, secured an away 1-0 victory over Dunbeholden FC at Royal Lakes Complex in Portmore. As a result of that victory, Mount Pleasant moved from fourth place to third place.

Humble Lion, which entered the round in third place, dropped to fourth following a 1-1 draw against visitors University of the West Indies (UWI) FC at Effortville Community Centre in May Pen.

UWI FC (11th) and Vere United (12th), the other promoted team, remain in the relegation zone with both teams having eight points.
