Appleton Estate to launch 'Carnival Thursdays' at Tracks and Records
At the debut fete, from 7 pm until 11 pm, carnival lovers can enjoy the musical selections of Richie Ras, a leading Jamaican disc jockey in the field.
At each 'Carnival Thursdays' staging, Appleton Estate intends to marry the ambiance of calypso, soca and dancehall fusion with the popular rum, with the drink special: a 200ml bottle of Appleton Estate Signature Blend V/X for $1200.
Following the leg at Usain Bolt’s Tracks and Records, the brand will continue to make stops throughout Jamaica at Ocean’s 11 in Ocho Rios on April 6, and Italian Café in Negril on April 20. Entry for patrons is free of cost at all events.
Tamika West, Marketing Manager at J Wray & Nephew Limited, is excited for the commencement of this new series for the brand:
“There has been a strong resurgence of carnival in Jamaica, which is a display of Caribbean cultural richness in a melting pot of soca, reggae and dancehall fusion. We Are Rum People, so it was natural for Appleton Estate to convey the message of responsible convivial vibes in the Jamaican Carnival season," West said.
She continued, “Our signature mixed drink of the season is the X-Ale cocktail, which consists of Appleton Estate V/X Signature Blend and ginger ale. We can’t wait for Appleton Estate Carnival Thursdays attendees to enjoy this mixed drink and other cocktails with our award-winning rum responsibly."
