Another week of gas, diesel price reductions

For a second consecutive week motorists will pay less for gasoline and diesel when they fill up at the pumps.

The price cuts were announced on Wednesday by the state-owned oil refinery, Petrojam.

Effective Thursday, 87 and 90-octane gasoline will be sold for $125.28 and $128.12 per litre, respectively, down by $2.72 each.

Automotive diesel fuel will be sold for $133.26 per litre following a decrease of $3.06, while ultra-low sulphur diesel is down by $2.25, and will be sold for $137.92 per litre.

Meanwhile, kerosene is down in price by $2.85, and will be sold for $112.50 per litre.

Propane liquid petroleum will be sold for $39.97 per litre, down by $1.50, while butane liquid petroleum will be sold for $45.52 per litre after an increase of $0.25.

The marketing companies and retailers will add their respective mark-ups to the prices from Petrojam.
