Effective Monday, December 10, the intersection at Constant Spring Road and Constant Spring Grove in St Andrew will be closed to vehicular access.

The National Works Agency (NWA) said as a result, motorists will no longer be able to turn from Constant Spring Grove onto Constant Spring Road or from Constant Spring Road onto Constant Spring Grove in the vicinity of Electrical Depot. It said the turning restriction is being implemented to facilitate ongoing road improvement works and to reduce vehicular conflicts along that section of the roadway.

Manager of Communication and Customer Services at the NWA, Stephen Shaw, explained that while Constant Spring Grove will no longer accommodate through traffic, local traffic will be able to access the roadway from Manning’s Hill Road.

Shaw said access to Electrical Depot and other businesses in the vicinity will be maintained, however, people entering or leaving these locations will not be allowed to make a U-turn in either direction around the concrete median along that section of the roadway.

The NWA said access to Constant Spring Terrace and Hillman Road will not be affected by the change.

The NWA said resulting from the restriction, motorists travelling southbound along Constant Spring Road who wish to access Manning’s Hill Road, can use Saxthorpe Avenue or continue to Mary Brown's Corner then on to Manning’s Hill Road.
