Another murder in St James
The Granville police in St James are probing the murder of a man who was shot and killed in the parish by a group of men with whom he had a dispute Monday afternoon.
The deceased has been identified as 25-year-old labourer, Kimani McIntosh, of Mud Valley, Granville in St James.
Reports are that about 1:00 p.m., McIntosh was pounced upon and shot by a group of men shortly after he had a dispute with them.
The police were called and McIntosh was taken to hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
He is the fourth murder victim within a week in the parish that has been under a state of emergency since April 30.
Between Monday and Tuesday two men, both of St James, 43-year-old Rodney Myles, otherwise called ‘Al’, a labourer of Rosemount Gardens; and 17-year-old Mark Powell of Princess Street, Montego Bay, were shot dead in two separate incidents.
Then on Thursday, the decomposing body of an unidentified man was discovered in a barrel in the Bogue Hill area of the parish.
