Another gun murder in Grange Hill, Westmoreland

A construction worker/businessman was shot and killed by unknown assailants in his community in Westmoreland on Saturday night.

It is the latest murder in the Grange Hill community where all of seven persons, including two children, were killed on a single day in May of this year.

The deceased on Saturday has been identified as Dennis Sewell, a tiler of Mint Road in the community.

Reports are that about 9:15 p.m., Sewell and a female companion were walking into a yard when he was pounced upon and shot by unknown gunmen.

He was rushed to the Savanna-la-Mar Public General Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

The female companion managed to escape unharmed.

The Morgan's Bridge police are investigating the incident.
