Another Clarendon home invasion victim dies in hospital

Another of the four persons who were shot and injured during a home invasion on Foga Road on the outskirts of May Pen in Clarendon on the night of January 6, died Tuesday night in hospital.

He has been identified as Omar Grant.

Another of the victims, 45-year-old Patrina Edwards, died about two days after being shot and injured.

Edwards, along with her 24-year-old daughter, her daughter’s boyfriend and the couple’s two-year-old child, were at home about 10:00 p.m., when three gunmen reportedly entered the premises and demanded money.

The men also attempted to rape the 24-year-old woman, but she resisted.

The gunmen subsequently opened fire, hitting the four, who were taken to hospital.

The victims were also robbed of two cell phones.

The May Pen police are investigating the incident.
