All three isolated patients test negative for novel coronavirus

The Ministry of Health and Wellness is reporting that test results for another two isolated patients have come back negative for the novel coronavirus.

It means all three patients who were placed in isolation after returning from China, as a precaution against the novel coronavirus, have tested negative for the new virus first detected in the Far East country. The first patient tested negative for the disease on Wednesday.

The results for the second and third patients were received Thursday from the Caribbean Public Health Agency, the health ministry said.

All three patients will now be discharged, given their negative test results.

The ministry in the release said it was reminding the public that quarantine and isolation procedures are in place to allow for the detection and early investigation of all persons who may have been exposed to the virus.
