Access and Fosrich led gains during Wednesday’s trading

Access Financial Services (AFS) and Fosrich Company Limited (FORSICH) led gains on Wednesday’s trading of the Jamaica Stock Exchange (JSE).
While the largely inactive Ciboney (CBNY) gained 9.09 per cent to close at $0.12, actively traded stocks AFS and FOSRICH both gained 6.79 per cent.
Access closed at $44.99 and FORSIC closed at $2.99. The day’s largest decline was Sygnus Credit Investment Limited USD Ordinary Shares (SCIJA) down 16.76 per cent to close at $11.42.
The JSE Combined Index advanced by 992.25 points (0.29 per cent) to close at 342,905.03. The JSE Index advanced by 732.84 points (0.22 per cent) to close at 333,856.42. The Junior Market Index advanced by 28.89 points (0.94 per cent) to close at 3,294.63. The JSE USD Equities Index declined by 7.56 points (4.34 per cent) to close at 166.72.
Overall Market activity resulted from trading in 58 stocks of which 34 advanced, 20 declined and 4 traded firm. Market volume amounted to 77,365,855 units valued at over $453,059,284.66. 138 Student Living was the volume leader with 67,901,000 units (87.77 per cent) followed by JMMB group 7.50 per cent with 1,421,537 units (1.84 per cent) and Indies Pharma with 1,346,124 units (1.74 per cent).
