25 kilos of cocaine found at Port Bustamante

The police seized some 25 kilograms of cocaine during a marathon anti-narcotics operation at Port Bustamante in Kingston on Thursday.

Loop News understands that the operation was conducted by members of the Narcotics Division and the Customs Enforcement Team between the hours of 2:30 a.m. and 1:00 p.m.

During the nearly 10-hour joint operation, a container was searched and 25 packages containing cocaine, weighing about 25 kilograms, were found in a floor compartment.

The overall haul of drugs was seized.

No one was arrested in connection with the seizure.

The Narcotics Police are investigating the discovery.
