2,000 Westmoreland residents to benefit from health fair

Food For The Poor (FFP) Jamaica will be staging its Westmoreland Health and Distribution Fair, targeting approximately 2,000 persons, including children from communities across the parish.

The fair will be held at Torrington Wesleyan Holiness Church, Torrington District, Savanna-la-Mar between Wednesday, July 18 and Friday, July 20.

Residents from communities such as Torrington, Savanna-La-Mar, Hartford, Bath and Strathbogie will benefit from free medical examinations and prescriptions by a team of medical personnel including doctors, nurses and a pharmacist.

The fair will include wheelchair assessment and distribution, an agricultural outreach in a remote community and a dental clinic for children. 

Gift packages containing food, toiletries, agricultural items, children’s books and school supplies will also be distributed over the period.

Wednesday, July 18, starting at 11:00am

 Agricultural outreach and distribution at an off-site location

 Wheelchair fitting and distribution

Infirmary, police, church, school distributions

Thursday, July 19 starting at 7:00am

General health fair, including disbursement of medications

Distribution of books & school supplies to children

Friday, July 20 starting at 7:00am

Dental Clinic for children

Distribution of agricultural, food and non-food items
