Another young woman has fallen victim to domestic dispute that is believed to involve a spouse.
This time it is Arcadia district in St Thomas, where the latest deadly domestic reality emerged on Monday.
Nineteen-year-old Tashoy Barrett was found dead with her throat slashed at home, and the police are in search of her boyfriend, who is believed to have been behind the attack on the young woman.
The discovery was made around 12:30 at the dwelling which the deceased shared with her boyfriend.
The police, on being summoned, found Barrett’s lifeless body in a pool of blood on the floor of the house, and she was later pronounced dead.
Her death marked a continued spate of domestic murders involving spouses or ex-lovers over recent weeks, which has drawn widespread national attention as the authorities push for better dispute resolution practices at the community level.
