5 J Wray & Nephew Limited officially re-opened its much anticipated Joy Spence Appleton Estate Rum Experience (JSAERE) in St Elizabeth on Thursday, January 18, 2018.

6 Spence was appointed Master Blender in 1997.

7 Formerly known as the Appleton Estate Rum Tour, the JSAERE – which is named after the company’s master blender Joy Spence – serves as a gateway to the rising tourism boom recognised on the island’s South Coast.

10 The investment provides additional entrepreneurial opportunities for Jamaicans living in Siloah and neighbouring communities.

11 The upgrade included the addition of modern tasting rooms to support education about rums, and the renovation of the existing property and surrounding landscape.

12 The Joy Spence Appleton Estate Rum Experience takes visitors on a sensory journey through the history of rum.

Guests are said to “feel and taste the essence of Appleton whilst learning about the complexity and sophistication of rum”.

13 Appleton Estate launched a new luxury rum that is only available at the Appleton Estate Rum Tour, which started on September 22.
