Munro College has been plunged into mourning on news of the death of one of its own, 14-year-old third-form student, Diego DeSouza.
The youngster, who was described as affable, well-respected and a prodigious footballer, apparently died in his sleep in the early hours of Wednesday, October 9, said a statement from the school.
According to the statement, preliminary investigations reveal that Diego’s death was due to natural causes.
The school family, with the assistance of trained personnel from the Ministry of Education and surrounding schools, is providing all necessary forms of support to the students and members of the school community.
The Munro College family has extended “deepest sympathies” to Diego’s family and friends.
