10-year-old dies after being struck by bus in St Ann

A bus driver has been warned for prosecution after his vehicle struck and killed a 10-year-old boy in St Ann.

The deceased has been identified as Collin Junior, a student of Lime Hall Primary School in the parish. Collin was hit by the vehicle in Lime Hall on Monday, and succumbed to injuries he received in hospital two days later.

Reports are that sometime after 3pm on Monday, Junior, who had left school with other students, was attempting to cross a section of the roadway in Lime Hall when he was hit by the bus.

The injured student was rushed to the St Ann's Bay hospital with severe injuries and was later transferred to the Bustamante Children's Hospital. However, he died on Wednesday.

Officers attached to the St Ann Traffic division are conducting further investigations.
